Say YES/NO to MK characters coming back

I must say I am quite surprised, expected a lot more hate for our demon Ashrah :)

Does not seem like a close battle at all!

I'd want Ashrah to be evil and work for Shinnok and Quan Chi. She should destroy Nitara's homeland, Vaeternus, and because of that, Nitara joins the Forces of Light.

If she really does appear in MK10, her being on the side of forces of darkness is more than likely. I suspect she would start as a member of the Brotherhood of Shadow and at some point in the story mode, she might find the sword and abandon Quan Chi (this could be a chapter where you play as her :) )

They should have it where we do get to see Ashrah's demonic form either in story mode or in some ending of hers. I'm tired of hearing and not seeing. We know that some of these characters have that demon in them, let's actually get to see it rather than read about it in their bios.

Probably because her ties to the Netherrealm, the Brotherhood of Shadow, and Quan Chi directly put her in play for MK10, which would likely revolve around MK4's timeline. Kia, Jataaka, ans Sareena should be in play for MK10 for the same reason.

There's also people like me who think the whole slutty costume shit is going too far, and see Ashrah as the symbol of wholesomeness.

As I have just concluded my ladder playthrough with Ashrah, it is time to conclude the first round as well - the result is:

15 - 3 YES!

Next round will commence in couple of minutes!

ROUND 2: BARAKA

2105940-baraka.jpg

Baraka belongs to the Outworld's vicious Tarkatan race - a crossbreed between Netherealm demons and denizens of Outworld with giant sharp teeth and blades coming out of their arms. Baraka's fighting moves revolve around his blades, his most notable special moves are the chop-chop blades, blade spin, blade charge as well as his projectile attack. Baraka's first appearance was in Mortal Kombat 2, where he fought in order to win the tournament for his master Shao Kahn. Throughout the series, Baraka pledged loyalty to various major villains such as Quan Chi and the Dragon King. Baraka is quite popular among the fans as evidenced by the fact that he was included in the Mortal Kombat Vs DC crossover game. Baraka's last appearance was in Mortal Kombat (2011) and since he did not die in the game's story mode and the next game is most likely going to retell Mortal Kombat 4 events where he did fight alongside Quan Chi and Shinnok, there is a very strong possibility Baraka will appear in the sequel.

Okay, I can't seem to make up my mind when it comes to Baraka. Don't get me wrong, I really like the character, but the last two games simply reduced him to a rather unintelligent, forgettable thug, who always loses to the heroes. In Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, he did not get his own chapter and he barely had any lines. In Mortal Kombat 9, he got his ass kicked 4 freaking times, which was very disappointing to see, considering how vicious and calculative he was in Mortal Kombat Deception - just look at his ending, he did not fall for Mileena's trap and ended up killing her. That ending demonstrates that Baraka is actually smart, which I very much prefer as in Mortal Kombat 9, Tarkatans were generally portrayed as stupid. Even in MK Gold, Baraka was calculative, he did pledge loyalty to Quan Chi, but it is revealed that he was secretly planning to betray him.

On the other hand, I am for MK9 characters coming back AS LONG as they are alive. Baraka fits this condition and he actually had a purpose in the MK4 storyline, so I would like him to be more MKD-like - cruel, vicious, scary and intelligent.
So I would have to say YES!

Yes. He added to building a bigger world with another race. His moves are savage and fun and he was one of the first more interesting characters. I mean blades in the arms? Awesome. Always had fun with Baraka in any version of MK.

NO.

At least not in story mode.
Maybe as an unlockable, but not on the main roster.
Baraka was a henchman, but much like Reptile and Sheeva, he has NO actual story progression.

Baraka - YES

Every story would require some henchmen, and Baraka fills the role by leading them. His story too could go about interesting ways, whether to ally himself with Shinnok and lead a rebellion in Outworld? Or perhaps staying loyal and fighting back of the Netherealm invasion which may unveil a side of side we have never seen.

YES!

The origins of Baraka's ethnicity trace all the way back to the Netherrealm. With MK10 projected to revolve around MK4, all characters with ties to the Netherrealm should be in play for MK10, and the leader of the Tarkatan race is no exception.

Yes

Typically I would have said no but if there's any chance to progress this character farther than what has been established then I'm for it. Yes especially how he has Netherrealm heritage. I'm curious if he'd join Shinnok or rebel for his homeland.. Or betray.
