Does Jade have no fans?

Jade never really caught my attention as an "interesting" MK character (IMO), and I never cared for her just as I don't care for Nightwolf, Jax, Sindel, Stryker and Sheeva either.
Nightwolf was 1 of my MK9 mains, too, but I also hope that he stays dead for a while.
Kotal Kahn is taking up that native / tribesman role now, in MKX, and I'm 100% on board with that.
 
She had fans in MK2, but it was later replaced with a staff... *badum tish*

But seriously, Jade is my #1 favourite MK character. I have made peace of her not being in MKX though. Though her popularity spiked up in MK9, it was clearly not enough. I remember back when she was announced to be in MKD. I was uber-thrilled! But everyone else were all "Why is she in the game? She's just a bad Kitana copy! No one likes her!".

Kitana and Mileena were always alot more popular than Jade, even in MK9. They have a greater following amongst the MK fanbase. And Jade has always been a secondary character when it comes to the story. Because of this, I accepted a long time ago that Jade would most likely not make it into MKX as a playable character. And I think other Jade fans have accepted that too.

Jade was awesome in MK9, imo. But I think it is time for other characters to get some spotlight, particularly another favourite of mine: Tanya.
 
Jade is well liked by the fanbase it's a bit rare to find someone that dislike her. Of course there are some that simply don't care about her.
The thing is that people want the dead characters to stay dead for a while so it's a consensus that is best to skip her in this title.
 
I can't care less about Jade. Many people feel the same way, there are many characters I would like to return, she's not one of them.

People want Cyrax, Rain, Sektor, Johnny, Kabal and others back before her.
Same with post-MK3 chars, Fujin and Reiko deserve a chance before Havik.
 
I couldnt care less about most of the returning characters, the fewer the better.

If fan desires dictated the roster this game would just be a carbon copy of MK9.

Agreed.
"Tons of new characters" (Ed Boon at E3) in MKX. No more than the 4 that were revealed at E3 are shown. :roll:

Unfortunately, it's already is starting to look like an MK9 carbon copy.
Sonya, Johnny, Liu and Jax are rumored to be in.

Jade was an awesome character. I always liked her and she was a beast in Trilogy. That being said, I believe that it is necessary to have some characters stay dead to show Sindel's massacre did have, at the very least, SOME lasting effects.

Havik sucks, though, straight up. He's an awful character with goofball moves and a silly look that seems to have be thrown together in seconds. He and the majority of the 3D-era characters need to stay out.
 
I do think Kitana's Mournful Variation is a joke though. She has two of Jade's moves... but still uses her fans. It really does seem like NRS didn't know what Kitana's third Variation should be, so they just gave her a couple of Jade's moves.

If the staff fully replaced the fans, then it would make sense.
 
I'm not really a fan of Jade but I don't mind Her, I even plan to finish my sleeve by getting Jade at the top because her skin complexion is closest to mine, and I planned to get one of the MK females up there anyway so Itll be nice. Just sucks that I won't be able to see what an MKX Jade would have looked like.

Well she does use the fans for her X-ray and fatality. Doubt they were gonna ditch those.
 
When I was about 13 or 14, my dad adopted a green female parakeet. When trying to think of names, I suggested Jade, directly named after the MK character. That ended up being the final name for that bird.

That would be like replacing Sub-Zero's Ice Ball or Raiden's Lightning move.
It would be better (IMO), if they replace 1 or the other moves that she isn't AS known for, for another Jade move in that variation, like the Square Wave move.
The fans are her trademark, though.
 
I was never a fan of Jade since I don't think she never had any major impact on the story. Her chapter in MK9 was boring filler and the story would be no different if you remove that chapter. Havik was not deconfirmed since it sound like a joke comment when he was brought up.
 
While i do like Jade, i dont like Kitana having Jade's moves. uhgg!!
It screams laziness to me that NRS could not create NEW ways for Kitana to uses Jades weapons if they were to go the tribute route.
