Do you think Kitana and Mileena would make the cut?

It only distracts you cuz it's socially un-acceptable, by people who feel like lust is a sin an everyone should feel bad for feeling lust, or expressing sexuality that can cause lust.

Don't care personally about political correctness especially in my mortal kombat game.

It doesn't bother me cuz I'm not a horn dog like tarkatan who gets a boner by looking at pixelated breasts. Nothing wrong with it IMO. I just don't care cuz I'm not trying to fap when I play mk so seeing cleavage doesn't affect me.

I keep hearing opinions like this..... Slutty costumes are the best, so, don´t pretend you are a majority, or that your opinions would configure the new game.... Mk has always had sexy females, so, if you don´t like that I can´t understand how you keep beeing a fan.... this is not a game for you...

It has nothing to do with lust and more to do with the objectification of women.
I love tits and vag as much as every other red blooded straight male.
That being said, I want better costume and character designs out of the MK characters, other than a walking pair of tits covered by toilet paper and dudes that look like they could compete for Mr. Universe.

MK X is great the way that NRS are doing the costumes, and the more realistic different body types / builds, and the better costumes, is a HUGE improvement over MK9.
 
Personally, I feel like one cannot make a unique costume if their character is wearing close to nothing.

This "slave girl design" has been done already in many games and even movies!

Jade's primary and alternate costumes looked similar to Kitana's and the fact that they both had a loin cloth makes anyone's "originality" argument invalid.

Woman are objectified If you see them that way. It's just sad the majority see exposed skin as something that's a simile for sex.

Funny how sexy is somehow less acceptable socially than raiden objectifying lives as something disposable in mk9. That directly relates to head figures way of thinking in the military.


Once again it's a piece of fiction. It doesn't bother me, IMO if you notice it you're objectifying them harder than I am who doesn't even notice it until it's brought up
 
The modeling industry objectifies women even WORSE than MK by firing women for the simple offense of not looking like they're starving .

A character's actions within a story is very different from the design of a character to help sell the game through sex. Which is what almost every female in MK9 was. They had very little to do in the story other than standing around almost completely naked. It has nothing to do with Raiden and his questionable choices within the story.

As I said before, I'm not opposed to sexuality, but you don't have to be wearing toilet paper to look sexy. It's just poor design.

I know that this post isn't aimed at me, but that's my problem with the costumes in MK9.
 
There's nothing wrong with it, like Kzaoo said. It's just their costumes REALLY do not make sense given the circumstances. And it just irritates me even more so when they just blatantly try to skimp out on a toilet paper costume, which I think everyone can agree on no matter what side you are on this debate, that the challenge tower reward of Mileena's costume was bad and unsatisfying.

But, I do think costumes will be different this time around based on the designs we were given so far.
 
TP costume is in the story cuz she was a test tube subject. I don't think you guys would be fine with straight naked mileena if TP freaks people out.

Most of the time people are naked in test tanks like that.

They could've wrote it differently, sure. But it's not like that costume doesn't make sense givin the story. Criticize the story instead then.

The costume makes sense, yes, but what was the point of it?

Johnny has probably done some underwear modelling in the past. Does that need to be a costume?

I have no problem with the naked people in the background of the flesh pits stage... but why does it need to be a costume in the game? It's completely unnecessary.

Yes.

NRS may have had intentions of getting you to see them as sex icons. But you only notice because you subconsciously objectify them as well when they appear half naked.

I don't react cuz I don't objectify. To even notice is because of social standards and your inner beast trying to tell you something about what you see.

The reason you and I don't act like animals once we see it is because we can reason and logic.

There was no reason for the TP costume to even exist. Yeah, sure... She was created in a giant tube and what not, but we didn't have to see her like that in the story. It wasn't necessary. And it definitely wasn't necessary to use it as an alternate costume for her. It's especially irritating knowing that the damn thing was a "reward" for completing the Challenge Tower.

That costume existed for one reason. Sex. Cause sex was the only thing used to describe Mileena's character in MK9.
 
I'm a girl and I don't see where the problem is with Kitana or Jade outfit. They are realistic because these outfits distract male opponent.

Of course, a titanium integral armor would be more protective, but it blocked movement. These girls choose the sexy distraction rather than the protection.
However, Sonya Blade's outfit, as a military, has no sense.
