The ninjas are the most popular characters

Sub-Zero isn't a ninja either.
He blatantly says he isn't a ninja.

And if you don't consider Kitana a ninja, then Reptile isn't either.
Both assassins, and you can add Smoke to that list too.

Ermac is nothing like a ninja.

So that just leaves Scorpion :)
 
Reptile is not a ninja, neither is Ermac, nor Rain, nor Sub-Zero, nor Smoke, nor Noob Saibot, nor Cyrax, nor Sektor... it doesn't matter you're masked or not, they are nothing like a ninja. The only ones who actually resemble and are known as ninjas in the game are Scorpion and Skarlet.

I consider all of them ninjas. (by look)
 
Scorpion - definately ninja, he actually has swords and is known as a ninja.
Sub-Zero - realistically, he's not a ninja, but he has a clan, so...
Reptile - LOL there's absolutely no ninja-ish look in his outfit.
Ermac - very Middle-Eastern, nothing ninja there, he resembles more a mummy than a ninja per se.
Smoke - despite his stupid hair, he too doesn't resemble a ninja.
Noob Saibot - Darth Vader yes, ninja = zero.
Rain - has mixtures of samurai and arabic in his outfit, I've yet to see anything ninja on him.

So, in termos of looking, only Scorpion and maybe - MAYBE - Sub-Zero are the ones who may be called ninja, the rest are not.

Lol, if you are trying to debate over a topic you must express your viewpoints on why you stick with your opinion rather than just blantantly making statements. Also the main purpose of expressing opinions and discussing is to see the other persons viewpoints as well and correct yourself if you are wrong. If you can't do that you are not entitled to a debate. The main reason most people dont take you seriously is because of this.
 
IMO Sub Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Rain, Tremor, Cyrax, Sektor, Kitana, Jade, Mileena, and Skarlet are all ninjas

I played MKT and I didn't know anything about the story besides endings to me they are ninjas always have been always will be they could put Sub Zero in knight armor and I would still call him a ninja
