I hope mavado dies, these blood daggers are crazy. I would like to see Reiko stay around for mkx. I mean everyone thought he would be DLC in mk9. He might die this month though. This war is about to get crazy as heck. I'm wondering if these blood daggers are bringing characters back to life like .......... Kung Lao??? Mind explosion........... Hmmmmm

Well Reptile has never been a traitor, he's been loyal to any master he serves. Remember, Kotal Kahn seeks to restore Outworld and most likely Outworld's endangered races, Reptile is game for that.

Man, I never took Goro for a traitor, but he did go back on the alliance him and Kitana had in Deadly Alliance, so maybe he's had it in him for a while now. Reiko is playing Kotal Kahn like a damn fiddle and hopefully Kotal knows that. I'm excited to see what this will lead to! Reiko has become suddenly cooler than ever!
 
I love how they keep making Reiko's Mortal Kombat 4's ending a possibility that is trying to happen now that he has Kahn's hammer.

And if no one saw Kotal's father dying, y'all blind as a bat. :-P
 
Maybe Kotal fukked up with Goro. Usually when we've seen Goro in action in past games, Shao kahn was right next to him. He almost treated him like an equal. Kotal Kahn tried to treat him like a grunt and Goro was none too pleased. Mileena knew what to do when she presented that banquet of food and talked up his ego.

That banquet panel reminds me of the movie's scene with Goro and Kano talking. One of my favorite scenes from that movie.
 
I like how Goro isn't as dumb as he was in MK9. I hated him so much in that game. Brainless muscle should be Sheeva, not the prince of Shokan.
 
I still don't think reiko is gonna make it to mkx because he still has his same mka outfit. I hope he is playable
 
The longer Reiko survives in the comic the more I have a suspicion that he may be the surprise returning character that is the big bad. Everything is centered around the Outward Civil War, which is between Kotal and Mileena... but Reiko is manipulating both sides. He's always had aspirations to be Emperor and he's been overlooked before as just a wannabe. NRS could be turning him into a serious contender.
Of course, I could still be completely wrong and they may kill him off in the very next comic!
 
I think the events of this chapter happens BEFORE Kotal asks help for Sonya.

First, because there is no Cassie (if she was there kidnapped, probably would have appeared, and Sonya too, this may happen later on that issue where Kintaro appears).

And second, because Mileena was on Earthrealm.

The question is: if it happens BEFORE, then maybe Kotal Kahn did the mistake of invoking the blood "demon". If it happens AFTER, maybe the blood "demon" is surely lurking some selected group of people.
 
While I'm still paranoid that they might kill Reiko in the comic before the game releases (please don't), I'm at least hopeful that Reiko should come out of this comic with enough fans to become a top contender for DLC.

That would be awesome, but I question how much of a "big bad guy" he could be, even though I love the character. Unless he finds some acessory that gives him unbelievable powers, at most he could be a nice challenger with Shao Kahn's hammer.

PS.: My theory sucks ass, but I still can't get rid of the feeling that the "demon" may be Shang Tsung.
 
I'm pretty sure that Reiko will want that hammer.

If he is pervert with the helmet, that does nothing except aesthetics, imagine with one of the most infamous and brutal weapons of all realms that was property of the person he wants to be.
 
Also, anyone else think the panels of Kotal and Reiko fighting together back when they served Shao Kahn were absolute badass? They had a bromance going on. These two are cool as hell wether they work together or against each other!

I thought it was the best looking issue so far... And Goro vs Father dude looked much better than Scorpion vs Hsu Hao. But then again this is all subjective tastes.
