Roster Speculation

I hope Nrs has a back up plan because if not there are gonna be a lot of pissed off fans, I suggest they have 14 returning characters and 10 new characters or better yet, 16 returning and 8 new because if we only have 7 slots left for returning characters thats a problem. the charcters I want back the most are.
1.sektor
2.cyrax
3.Ermac
4.Mileena
5.reptile
6.jonny cage
as long as these make it I can live without the rest, only problem is theres only one female on my list.

I'm pretty sure Ed Boon is aware of the possible backlash, he has already stated MK9 was fan service but he wants to focus on new stuff in MKX. Fans have plenty of time to be prepared to see most of their favs missing...
 
I like how you guys try to guess how many \returning characters there are left. We don't even have a roster number. Chill the hell out.

I understand where they're coming from, though. Speculating is half of the fun.

It's like, getting a present for your birthday and trying to guess what is inside before you open it.
 
I wonder when they will announced the sub boss for the game. MK9 had two sub bosses, so I wonder how many MKX will have? I'm hoping for two, one new sub boss and Moloch.
 
About backlash.
This is a picture from my poll i started back several years ago (in time of MK9 release), around 1000 voters in total on MisterPoll:

While certain characters could go up and down 1-2 positions with the time, the general thing to take from here MK1-MK2 characters is what people want, other characters have not interest them so much. I think it safe to say that it represent the general casual feel about MK roster.

Now, we have vote Yes/No thread right now, here is the Yes roster so far:

Here you have yourself the most popular characters from all the series represented (rather than simply MK1-MK2).

What you can take from it, is, as far as Baraka, Cyrax, Ermac, Cage, Liu Kang, Mileena, Noob Saibot, Sektor and Reptile are gonna be announced as returning characters (at least most of them), it will satisfy the most fans.

For the legs picture, i think the second one is Havik - cape/robe+black boots.
 
We have two female characters so far, and they seem to be rather covered up. Cassie is fully covered up and D'Vorah, though wearing a top and bikini-bottom, she doesn't show any buttcheeks or under-/side-boob.

going by Tanya beign chained up in khan's Arena, thats a good sign that she will be in MKX which is fine with me since we need more females and she's interesting.

We three since Ferra is also female even though the player is mainly playing as Torr. I think having the having clothes covering up the female characters are fine. I do want people to take the game seriously and not have everyone look like they were design by a horny 14 year old.

Nah it wouldn't matter.

Cammy is in the Military and she's wearing a thong leotard in the Street Fighter series (which is rated T) ever since she started in the game.

Leona Heidern from King of Fighters (also rated T) wears short shorts in most games and she's in the game.

So Cassie can dress up like that too.

Sonya's MK9 outfit was good but instead of high-heels, she could've worn actual combat (or KOMBAT) boots instead. So military women can show skin in video games. And DON'T need to be covered up.
