Remember Mortal Kombat Conquest?

Agreed. Fight scenes were good. Aside from after every fight they looked like they hadn't been touched and recovered in 10 seconds lo but the moves they would do were really cool

Out of the characters who are not in the game, my favorites are Kiri (Reptile's Girlfriend who reminds me of Khameleon) and Vorpax (Shang Tsung's b****).

Oh my ****ing god!
Kiri was the hottest women I've seen in years.
Not only that, but she tried to get into Vorpax's pants!
Can you imagine the level of boner that would have been achieved had they done this?!

Literally all the chicks in the show were hot as hell. They either had perfect bodies or blazin faces or both lol. I freaking loved that immortal chick. Especially at the last episode when she was glad death was coming Omg she wasnt The only one coming lmao lol

MK CONQUEST was the best tv show i have ever seen. the outworld characters were so creepy that they gave me spine chills, the music was great, the mythology was amazing (that's what mortal kombat should be like: temples, shaolin monks, middle ages shanghai city, sorcerers, necromancers, edenian princesses, other realms, not modern day america). thumbs up for the guy playing quan chi (adoni maropis). raiden and shao kahn were brilliantly played by the same guy (jeffrey meek). GREAT ENDING!
And examining closely you can see that the show could be canon, if you consider these explanations for the plot holes: Scorpion and Sub-zero are not the ones we know in the current perriod, Scorpion being a combination of an evil spirit (The scorpion) with a human that can more or less resist it(Takeda in Conquest, Hanzo Hasashi in MK series doing a better job in fighting the evil spirit, at least at some points), Noob Saibot being just a member of the Brotherhood of Shadows, not a Sub-zero spawn, Smoke having ancestors with smoke control powers within the Lin Kuei just like Bi Han and Kuai Liang, Reptile being another Saurian, The Black Dragon having already separated from The Red Dragon, Qali and Master Cho being different names for Tanya and Bo Rai Cho while Vorpax, Omegis, Kiri, Jola and Quan Chi's 3 slaves being new characters. The deaths are not shown in the end and we know that the original kung lao, shang tsung, quan chi and kitana (memory spell or no memory spell involved) survive, not sure about siro and taja though.
THEY SHOULD MAKE A SEQUEL with oher actors playing the main characters, maybe insert a Liu Kang ancestor (like seen in Shaolin Monks) and give more importance to Sub-zero and Scorpion, make episodes with the other characters that were around at 1400 AD (Shinnok, Daegon and the Red Dragon, Blaze, Damashi/Onaga, Shokans and Centaurs, Baraka, Jade, Ermac, Fujin, HAVIK, HOTARU, Ashrah, Nitara)

So has MK legacy surpassed conquest?? I def think so!

I think not, MK Legacy is good, but it just doesn't have 2 VERY important things:

Actually, the last episode was supposed to be a dream by either Kung Lao or Raiden (can't remember). This would have been explained in Season 2, but the show was canceled.

Oh? Wheres your source? (Sorry it took me a While to reply)
I always thought that Shao Kahn Winning is why they cancelled it. Would explain alot.
Plus, Why did they put Conquest and not Konquest? lol

Conquest was epic back in the day, used to stay up till 2AM just to watch it.
I watched a couple eps recently and realised the dialogue sounded like a
soap opera and the fighting scenes were just all acrobatics but still back
then it was great.

Like b,b,lp quoted you can't beat those small things like Sung HI Lee,
Tsung was a bad ****, same with Quan Chi. The best part of the series
for me was when the Shadow Priests started fukn everyone up. Bloody
top shit.

Sorry if I bumped an old topic but I just loved MK Conquest and I finally found a post about it XD (I was about to post a topic myself but I searched and found this)

MK conquest was great back in the day. Today it sounds rather weird or like a soap opera but as a kid I used to love it.
They really need to make a series about MK again but this time with explicit fatalities.

I just realised recently that the Kung Lao from Conquest is the "Great Kung Lao". I was so pissed htat he had the hat in the 1st episode them he never had it again XD

^Yeah I remember this, the season 2 would of taken place in the present time-line and was supposed to have the modern day fighters in it like Cage, Jax etc...

IDK about you guys but I want to see a series about the story of MK. Legacy is rather good at story telling but it needs to be done seriously, longer episodes and have a certain time line to it, so far its just random origin storys of the characters. (they are cool clips anyway but IMO MK could be a source for a great series)

They should being bAck the hot women of conquest to legacy.

But yea. Back in it's day conquest was great. I just wondered why it was cancelled. Did it not appeal to the masses and just a niche market?

They had budget problems. (articles said they didn't even have enought money to buy bras for the women, IMO that's rather a plus than a minus but w/e XD)

Anywya the ending was great IMO, Evil ending :P. It was supposed to be a dream of Kung Lao I think and they wanted to make the 2nd season happen in the present or something. Too bad they cancelled due to the budget :( (they had more success a few years after the release, when it was on TV, if that would of happend in the release year we could of got a 2nd season :( )

I liked the actors, Taja's and Shang Sung's were great IMO :P

So has MK legacy surpassed conquest?? I def think so!

Heck no. When Legacy is good, its good (Cage, Sonya, Jax, Kano, Scorpion & Sub-Zero). But, when its bad, its god awful (Raiden, Kitana & Mileena). The writer should be beaten silly for that Raiden atrocity.

Conquest was good, consistent and interesting. Too bad there's not an official U.S. DVD release of the series.

I loved that show. I don't know why. It had such horrible special effects, horrible set designs, horrible writing, horrible attention to detail...

But the action was great, the actors were really good (Kristanna Loken, we speak your name!), and it was really suspenseful.

Great story arcs.

The real problem was, here in the New York / Metro- area, they kept screwing around with the time the show aired (it aired at some ridiculous time -- like 1:30 in the morning) and they kept changing it to like 1:15 or 1:40 or 2:00 and my VCR always only got fragments of each episode.

I used to be SO angry every Sunday morning. LOL. Now I look back on the episodes and no, they did not withstand the test of time -- they were awful then, and they're awful now, but...

I still love them.

I know. I need help.

MKC was really great except for a few things.

a) the nobodies , siro, taja, vorpax, kreeya and so on. too many nobodies, would prefer more mk chars than them
b) I love balance between good and evil and a bitter end in a movie or such because mostly we get happy ends. on that note, I actually liked the end but as for the balance, seeing Kung Lao getting beaten by anyone really was a bit too much
c) they overdid it with sexuality in the series. quan chi's b*tches, vorpax, kreeya with reptile. ugh, jesus, a hint or two are cool but too much sexuality in mk is quite out of place imho

other than the above, too bad they had no money to continue, or so the rumour had it. much better than MK Legacy and had really good fight scenes. I hope that show returns some day or better yet, a brand new show. now that WB is involved, they should make something great if they are to launch mk series on tv again

All of your complaints are what made the series great!

a) The series was in a time where most of MK's characters weren't even born yet. So new faces kept it fresh.
b) This added shock value. The Great Kung Lao being beaten? In the finale? Pretty nice.
Even though I loved him
c) You have GOT to be kidding me. That is what made the series amazing!
