It will not come in 2014 because there are still working on dlc for injustice. MK development must be at the begining stage.

Not sure really, but nothing was officially announced. He just said that they are working on PS4 and Xbox One versions.
I would love PC version too, would be great to have it at the same time as consoles but we can just wait and see what happens.
I guess that it uses brand new engine. Maybe UE4 and Xbox 360 and PS3 doesn't support it.

That because 360 and ps3 players will move to ps4 and xbox one that why not current gen version.

Not everyone will move to Xbox One and PS4 there will be many ppl that will play on X360 and PS3 years after next-gen consoles came out so i don't think that's the reason. First year is always worst when it comes to new consoles sales. Because there are not many games and hardware is usually expensive.
Releasing X360 and PS4 version would be great move but as i said before i think that they really wanna do something "new", something bigger and much better.

hmm... I will also not buy a xbox one or a ps4 this year With the majority of the games coming to pc, there is no real reason to buy one of them .i will stick with it and upgrade i the graphic card in a year. Anyway let hope that this time they release the PC version sooner and not two years later By the time MK 10 releases the money that the would make from pc version of MK9 sales will be more than enough to do it.

I DEFINITELY will still be playing my Xbox 360 at least a year or two after the next gen consoles get released. I mean come on, Armageddon came out almost a year after the 360 was released, I don't see the problem with NRS making the game for the current gen.
Then again, with the current state of technology evolving rapidly than ever, with people buying the latest technology on day one as opposed to waiting til they think the time is right for them, I think NRS would want to take advantage of the newest consoles as a main priority and if WB gives them a big enough budget, then make it on current gen. I don't mind if they recycle the engine from MK9 with a few tweaks.

Not to mention, look at some of the games coming out at E3 that were revealed to be for the 4 consoles (PS3, 360, PS4 and One).
Metal Gear Solid V and Thief were just 2 of those games, and Metal Gear Solid was a franchise that used to be PS only.
Since MGS V and Thief are both coming to PS3, I see NO need to run out and get a PS4 right away.
Developers have realized that by not being exclusive, if they can sell the games on other consoles, they can make the money from those console owners too.

There is no way they aren't going to try to time a game release with a movie release. The hype could double sales for both the movie and the game.

It sounds like they haven't even shot the movie yet, and if that's the case (considering that it takes about 18 months to shoot and do post production on a movie), then the movie won't be out until 2015.
I'm wondering if NRS is going to even wait that long.

Makes since to me. Injustice is still in the infant stages of it's life and with more dlc on the way it's obvious that nrs wants this game to last a while. I predict no mk10 until 2015.
I hope that the next MK is not on both generations. I hope that it's focused on PS4 and XBox One. If they put it on both gens, they will have to dumb it down enough to run on all platforms, which will ultimately hold it back. The last MK is still a great game and so is Injustice, but there are so many elements that are dated and really holding it back. The resources that are going to be available on the new systems will allow for so much, that I can't see Boon not wanting to take advantage of it.

Boon did say that he would like to make it for next-gen consoles, but he never said that he ONLY wanted it on next-gen consoles.

Huh? Why would they dumb it down? If FIFA 14 is coming out on current gen and next gen, with games being compeletely different with one another on their respective generation of consoles, why can't they do the same thing with MK10?
In fact, what EA is doing is improving on the engine from FIFA 13 for current gen, and then using the Ignite engine they're developing for the next gen. MK10 can use the same engine from MK9, with some tweaks similar to what Tekken has been doing since DAY ONE and then make a different game for the Next Gen.
With the resources NRS has now compared to what they had at Midway, they definitely have the capabilities to do it.

A lovely Christmas gift from NRS would be a gameplay trailer of at least 8 characters. The characters should be Scorpion, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Tanya, Quan Chi, Shinnok, and Reiko at least.
