Hanzo Hasashi in MK9, anyone? Inb4 wouldn't work.

Would you support a free Hanzo Hasashi skin for Scorpion?

If un-scarred kabal was available, I would probably play as him lol. But Ed didn't outright deny The Hanzo idea. Someone asked him on twitter if they had ever thought of it and he said "It's not as easy as us owning the title." Meaning they don't legally own the rights to Scorpion's name.. but they could still do the Skin.
 
That is a super idea my amigo! I was thinking of an undead scorpion (for purist sake) but with his face intact lol like keep the white eyes, mean face, long samurai hair like samonosuke from onimusha and minus the mask ;-) shouldn't be that hard IMO

Who owns the title? I did a quick Google check but all it comes up with is Scorpion.

Who owns the Hanzo title? Not entirely sure, but I know it's not Boon or NRS. It could be John Tobias or Someone that worked at now-defunct Midway. All I know Boon said it's not his.

I was expecting cyrax and sektor human costumes to look awesome, but IMO they are 2 of the worst alts of the games, too generic.

Also the way their moves look in their humans form is lame, Cyrax's James Bond watch and Sektor's teleport look really bad.

I'm surprised by this, I didn't think they looked generic at all they both have very unique styles and appearances from eachother in my eyes. Each to their own though!
 
I think it's one of the more pointless costumes. His two fire fatalities would make no sense either. Aside from Mythologies Scorpion will always be seen as undead, and a reworking of toasty would look especially silly.
 
I wouldnt be against Hanzo Hasashi. I agree with fox that alot of his moves and 2 of his fatalities wouldnt make sense(Toasty and Nethergate).Although I wouldnt equate taking Sub Zeros mask off to making jax caucasian thats a bad analogy. But as a skin it wouldnt work that well. Maybe hanzo as a DLC with the spear, leg trip, air throw and a few new moves maybe. He has most of his powers because hes a ressurected spectre. So the hellfire and teleport wouldnt make much sense. But Im not against it because when it all comes down to it NRS created these characters and they can do whatever they want with them. No matter how many fans might get pissed you have to respect the artists and creators right to change whatever they want. With that said I think a safer bet and better idea would be Inferno Scorpion from the challenge tower maybe in UMK3 gear.
 
Sure, let's take the best thing about an undead spectre (being undead and a spectre), remove it, and turn it into a costume for money.
 
Everyone has opinion. I honestly didn't think this thread would get a reaction but I'm glad it did. Anyways, I'll support whatever NRS will do with DLC.
 
I'd love any kind of free new skin. C'mon, it's FREE. And it's not like they would stop released other DLCs because of it. I think it's great the way SF4/SSF4/SSF4AE releases all kinds of alternate costumes with alternate colors, and I'd love to see that in MK. Imagine Kitana dressed as a dancer, Sub-Zero as a Snowboarder... It would be AWESOME! And for those who don't like it, simply don't get/buy it! It's as simple as that.
 
Yeah human cyrax is a baller lol. I like his human alt better than his regular robo-look, but his MK3 klassic is my favorite.

Lol snowboarder sub-zero is a tad silly, but if it's free why Not? It's not like it will "ruin" MK.. people don't seem to realize how cheesy it was from the start and how it went through its awkward phases. MK where it stands now is truly defined and any free skins they throw I will download.. I even paid for Klassic Pack #1

Exactly! A lot of costumes would look silly, and some would just be retarded, and I probably would really like only a few, but it's good to have options, and it's even better to use funny outfits when you're playing local with friends just for the lol! It's not like MK should be a completely serious, hardcore and competitive-only fighting game. There is no such thing like this today.

The title must be owned by WB because they use it a bunch of times on legacy, They could do something like they did with sektor and cyrax with the human skin. shouldnt be that hard and totally badass proving that scorpion could be as powerful alive.
 
Watch a real Hanzo Hasashi, attorney from Kyoto, Japan sue the hell out of WB like that ridiculous Jack Thompson crap.
