He has telekinetic powers (which he taught to Kenshi) and he's comprised of the souls of many dead warriors, what more do you want? The name Ermac also came from the rare "error macro" glitch from the original Mortal Kombat. Kenshi is just Ermac without eyes or the cool ninja look.
