Anyone else agree that Secret Character Battles are too easy??

For people having trouble with Noob, I've outlined this in another thread but i'll post it here too.

The block and uppercut from the teleport spam is the right strategy, but its actually missing a piece. If you stay full screen distance away he will ALWAYS teleport

So, what you do is

1. Keep back dashing until he teleports
2. Block the teleport which leaves him spinning for a free hit
3. Uppercut

The key here to keep him spamming the teleport is to back dash to a full screen distance away.

As for double flawless with Shang, I did it by just rushing him and uppercutting him repeatedly. You are virtually guaranteed to land 4-6 in a row before he potentially blocks one. That will be the tricky part of the match - getting past his guard one time. You can opt to try to trip him, or just keep uppercutting him and try to catch him before he lands whatever counter he'll try. Once you land another move just uppercut him the one or two more times you need to win round 1.

The first 5 seconds of round 2 will determine your likelyhood of getting the double flawless as he almost always will immediately morph into another character at the beginning of the round. Do your best to try to land the first hit on him and after that just uppercut away at him repeatedly. You may or may not get blocked again once this round and you'll need to find a way past his guard w/o getting hit. I kept uppercutting away and got lucky to catch him before his counter hit me.

It took me a few tries but that is my basic strategy I used is just rushing him and uppercutting him. On Easy you'll get only 1 block per round at most from him, and if you're lucky you can possibly beat him without him ever blocking, though every time I failed he always blocked at least once per round.

For Jade, same thing. Just keep rushing and upppercutting her. Its a little different with her because she'll duck you a lot, but she won't counter. I'd catch her with one or two in a row, and then whiff on 2-4 in a row but eventually caught her again. She'll block and duck more than Shang but she rarely countered me the lone time I fought her. The only damage I took was before I figured out this strategy.

I have fought all 4 of them.

In terms of accessing the fight from hardest to easiest: 1. Jade, 2. Reptile, 3. Noob, 4. Smoke.
In terms of difficulty of the actual fight: 1. Noob, 2. Reptile, 3. Jade, 4. Smoke.

I only lost once to Noob, I destroyed Smoke, and I beat Reptile twice with the first match being competitive. I surprised myself beating Jade rather easily. Destroyed her in round 1 and made a great comeback to steal Round 2. Noob was by far the hardest to me. The others weren't that special.

To get to Jade, I used Quan Chi, legit flawlessed Shang Tsung in round 1. 2nd round he hit me after turning into Sonya, but I used Quan Chi's health boost at the right time (and got lucky it gave me the health boost instead of the damage boost)...and yeah, got my health back up to 100% and the rest is history.

Klassic Noob Saibot is hard and took me a few tries to beat him. I managed to beat the rest on my first try though.

Man these secret fights are hard to get... especially the Jade one... got to Reptile last night... in the same ladder I had obtained the needed Flawless Victories and Fatalities and no lost round up to Shang Tsung. I defeated his ass (double flawless + fatality) but lost a round to him as well...

YES was my first thought... then it loaded the Goro fight... I was like what the hell... looked up the specifications to get to Jade... and then it hit me... could not loose a round to Shang Tsung... that sucked bigtime... It took me 30 minutes to get a double flawless... man...

worst gaming moment ever for me...

I had some hard time with this one, the difficulty resides in the fact that Shang Tsung is fast, very fast for an old man. and it depends on your luck concerning his morphing. He morphed pretty often to Kano with me and 1 canon ball will suffice to ruin your effort, even if it's blocked. I failed many times, but what's funny is that I achieved it during a fight I wasn't expecting to because I was talking on the phone...

Luckily for me, I can come and share my thoughts in here, otherwise I would break my controllers (yes multiple)...

I'm the same way man, there have been numerous occasions in which I have thrown my controller...luckily nothing has been broken thus far. LOL I FEEL YOUR FRUSTARATION MY FRIEND!
