MK movie update/MK Legacy discussion

I like scorpions costume but i think the mask kinda sucks, hopefully kevin decides to change the mask for the movie, something like this or something closer to the first movie.

I kinda like the mask from legacy but that's pretty sick looking.
 
Good riddance considering the fact that there were fan made videos that were far superior to both seasons

Thank god. I dont want some dubstepping hipster ruining my good friend. Leave the films out, no need and time prooves game films alll suck. Res Evil and the Final Fantasy films suck also, all of them suck.

Close the thread, rest in piece. No MK10 now either and I reckon the PS4 and Xbox One will be delayed or cancelled as a result of this.

The time has come to stand up or stay down!!!
 
i know kevin could had done better but the budget means everything and he actually got less this season than in season 1, anyways its clear the studio cut him loose, he was fully immersed into the project, to drop it for what, hes not at that point where hes going to have movies dropping on his lap, specially cutting lose a huge property like mk,
Honestly i have little faith in the movie, at least kevin was learning from his mistakes and gaining all that experience to put towards the movie, i feel he had the right vision, he just needed a bigger budget, a better fight choreographer, better cgi, overall a better team that a bigger budget can provide.
now they will probably bring a big name director who has no idea how to spell "kombat" correctly and shit all over mk for the sake of a bigger audience

For Nitara, if she ever becomes a cast in an MK movie, I'd have Natassia Malthe or Kate Beckinsale be her.

Talisa Soto can be Sindel.

Btw, the guy who played as Raiden in season 2 is too young and too cute to be Raiden. That actor can be one of the ninjas instead.
 
So he just said he's not involved in the movie anymore right? Not that the movie was cancelled? Who knows, MAYBE they'll actually hire a better director. If the guy who directed The Raid: Redemption made the mk reboot, I would be so excited. I wonder if they'll keep the same script that Orien Uziel wrote or scrap that as well.

I'd want the guy who directed the first 2 Hostel movies and 2001 maniacs to direct the next MK movie!!!

Weren't the hostel movies directed by Eli Roth? The touchy part with directors is that even if they know how to do good gore and atmosphere, they may not know how to deliver on good fight scenes which is the most important thing in my opinion with mortal kombat.
 
zack snyder is the only director that I think could produce a good MK movie based upon what I've seen. everyone else would miss the mark.
 
Zach snyder will be busy with superman and batman for the next 10 years, but i agree they should bring the fight choreographer from the raid, in the movie he was only able to use a few hotel rooms and halls, imagine that guy doing a fight on a big field with characters and superhuman powers

To me this smells like a movie with a new director and a cancelled Legacy. Both of those are good things in my opinion.
