This past weekend at San Diego Comic Con 2013 there was a Mortal Kombat Legacy panel. At the panel was Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, Legacy series Writer/Director Kevin Tancharoen along with cast members Casper Van Dien (Johnny Cage), Brian Tee (Liu Kang), Ian Anthony Dale (Scorpion) and Samantha Tjhia (Kitana). The one thing I took away from this was that Casper Van Dien is a perfect fit for Johnny Cage. I can't wait to see the new series debut later this fall.

They discussed in detail the first series and how they took fan feedback in creating the second season. Included in Season 2 is finally show the tournament and even include fatalities for the first time in the series. They even showed a fatality of Kitana's from the series. Sadly it was not recorded, but TheGamerJulie who uploaded the video of the event below had this to say about the fatality clip:

"They did show a clip where Mileena is fighting Johnny Cage and while she has him pinned to a tree with her weapon she tells Kitana to finish him. Kitana says no and goes on to say she won't fight with her anymore. Kitana and Mileena fight. Mileena is winning the fight and while she has Kitana on the ground Cage jumps in and intervenes in the fight? for a second. The second Mileena is distracted Kitana cuts off Mileena's head with her fan!" - TheGamerJulie

One great momement that went viral soon after the panel was Ed Boon doing Scorpion's GET OVER HERE live on stage. This is the first time I've seen this live, and it's amazing how perfectly he does it without editing even over 20 years later.

You can watch the panel courtesy of TheGamerJulie in full below:

It's likely Warner Bros. recorded the panel and will release a better version of it sometime in the future, but until then this version is perfectly watchable.

He actually sounds better in that video than he does in the recent games. They must filter the shit out of his voice now. Definitely bad ass. I also can't wait to see Kitana's fatality.
