So you should send a private message to the above gamertags indicating that you are a "member of TRMK" so that the developers make sure to play first. This is important because Midway will be keeping tabs of which websites' community has the most wins against the developers, and will be awarding something special that will be given to the community who gets the most wins. We made this easy on you for the Xbox by allowing you to do it right from the web here, so just click on their names and you'll be brought over to Xbox.com to send the messages.

So fire up your copies of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe tonight and look for one of the following gamertags playing online and send them a challenge notification. Post all your experiences as a comment to this news thread as the night goes on, we'd love to hear your stories.

So who all have sent messages saying they are from TRMK? (I just did, but I may not be able to play)
January 23rd, 2009 6:24 PM CST - Hibiki Rush
Well I added all the names earlier today and only one is pending... the others seem to have already filled up with tags. Is there a chance I'll still get to play with the developers or will they only select them from the friends lists?
January 23rd, 2009 6:45 PM CST - Patrick McCarron
I'm not sure. Same thing happened to me. I do see they have some rooms setup, but they don't appear to be playing anyone yet but they are ready. I have my Xbox on if I get a message for a game invite, like how the Xbox.com page says they're doing it. But I'm not going to sit in the rooms.

Am I too late?
January 23rd, 2009 8:13 PM CST - Patrick McCarron
Nope they are still going, another 45 minutes for the Xbox 360.
January 23rd, 2009 9:13 PM CST - trickii
Are they still on Xbox? They seem to be MIA on the PS3.
January 23rd, 2009 9:30 PM CST - trickii
Well, they're in, but they're declining challenges from people... whatever happened to "accept all"?
January 23rd, 2009 9:50 PM CST - Patrick McCarron
Not sure, I can't check on the PS3 since I have the EU copy. But it seems the network sometimes causes challenge declines, even on the Xbox side. About how many people are in the rooms there?
January 23rd, 2009 10:20 PM CST - trickii
About 170 with 100 in the room Boon is in and the rest split up among rooms with other devs.
January 23rd, 2009 10:40 PM CST - Patrick McCarron
Sounds about to be the same turnout as on the Xbox side. Also I'll say the developers move around a bit. So don't be so sure who someone is.

That was an awesome experience. If the developers involved happen to read this, I want to personally thank them for coming out and playing against the fans. I'll be talking about this for many years to come! I pulled off a Heroic Brutality on MKApep, was able to chat with FreezeGoroSweep over the Bluetooth headset, lost handily to MKSkully and managed a victory in one of the rounds against MKBoon before he utterly annihilated me in the last.

Yeah, when I was finally able to challenge one of them, my stats were so sucky that they ended up declining me anyway! What a douche!
January 24th, 2009 4:46 PM CST - Patrick McCarron
They can't see your stats from the challenge screen, or I'm blind. Either way, you were not declined because of that, sometimes it was network errors, sometimes it was them already accepting another challenge. The challenge system isn't very clear, as it appears they all go into a queue. It should say "Your challenge is queued" when you are not the first challenge. I'd get a few in a row last night, and once I said yes or no to one I'd get the next. If I accepted the first one, it should tell the 2nd person that I declined. I am 80% sure this is how this works, and why this was happening.

hey all how did we end up ranking with wins over the developers against the other MK sites out there? I would have been there but i lack both the 360 and the ps3 and the internet hookups for said consoles.
January 30th, 2009 10:11 AM CST - Patrick McCarron
No idea, as I've not heard anything back yet. I know I only got to play 3 games, and won 2/3 times.
