What Ermac's DLC costume should have looked like

I was on Deviant art, this is not mine, all credit goes to Brianminor25. However I agree with what he said:

"Okay, so as many of you should know by now, Ermac IS in the new MK game, Mortal Kombat (2011).

Now, along with this game, they are also releasing exclusive downloadable content (DLC) for some of the male and female ninja-type characters, which has them all wearing palette swap costumes inspired from the older days where they used to be just palette swaps of one another.

HOWEVER, while the female ninjas got the UMK3 costumes for DLC, the male ninjas seemed to have gotten a mix of their MK1 and MK2 attires

... Why is this problematic? Because some of the male ninjas were not around for MK1 OR MK2 and never wore those costumes!

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Reptile made sense in these costumes, but then they had to release Ermac with it too. And, as one of Ermac's many #1 fans, I am very disappointed with this. -_-'

They could have just made all of them in their UMK3 costumes and all would have been REALLY like the old days. Ermac only appeared in the classic games during UMK3, and that's the classic attire he should stay in!

SOOOOOOOOOO... Since I don't actually have the power to make NRS change their minds about the design, I decided to take time out of my entire day yesterday to make this little baby of mine. I took the actual image of what Ermac's classic DLC costume is, and transformed it into something closer to what I would have been much happier with. :)

That is a valid argument, I thought the same thing when I saw Ermac was getting a hybrid ninja suit from the Mk1/Mk2 days. But, there was a glitch back in Mk2 where Scorpion, Reptile, and Sub-Zero would turn red. So maybe that's where the inspiration for the costume came from. Although, they should do Mk3 ninja suits too.
 
Hopefully we do get a UMK3 ninja pack, so I can relive my first MK... in 3D (ZOMG)


I'll probably shed a tear from the nostalgia....
 
It would be really similar to the Scorpion's Alternate costume we saw in MKA. So in a way, it won't be 'new'. But of course, it would be Ermac's true classic costume.

Also, your signature is way too large.
 
you guys are crazy, it is not a mix between mk1 and 2 costumes

they are mk 1 costumes, yes mk 1 had quilted material..

BUT

I agree, Sub and Scorp shld have the retro they were given

Reptile Smoke and Noob Saibot should have an MK 2 costume with the knee guards and bmx bike mask

Ermac and Rain should have the UMK3 costume
 
I tried making this point on here before but no one would listen to me :(

Also though. They are called Retro Kostumes, not Klassic Kostumes. So it doesn't have to be the first thing they appeared in.
 
yeah man, this is way better, the in game pallet swap ninja costumes in MK9 look sh!t anyway, and Ermac never wore the MK2 style costume

but seeing how they are putting everything into this game

i wouldnt be surprised if they will have multiple skins

like mk2 costumes and kung lao havinh mk2 and mk3 costumes

im predicting this now
 
Uh, Ermac was originally in MK1 as a glitch. The outfit is fitting (no pun intended).

I do like the UMK3 ninja outfits though. Hopefully they are DLC for cheap or something.
 
Meh, I really like the whole Ninja Djinn thing they have going for him; he is staying in his Normal Kostume for me :D

You know, speaking of Costumes, do you think we are going to choose the costumes that show up?

What I mean is:

Suppose I have Costume A selected for Reptile, The other guy has Costume B. Do you think I will see Costume A on my game with him seeing Costume B, or do you think, since HE is playing as Reptile, we will both be seeing Costume B?
 
I always liked the MK3 Techno-80's costumes better than the older ones. Hopefully scorpion will have it as one of his alternates. That would be the most epic alternate costume ever ;} (since my favourite ninja costume is their MK3)
 
Nah, it was never proven to be anything more than a rumor. ERROR MACRO was a real thing, but I don't imagine it turned Scorpion's palette red. I've seen a discussion at another MK site that seemed to pretty well disprove it.
