Tanya's Alt. Costume?

'ello all,

Has anyone ran into trouble on this one? I know exactly where Tanya's supposed to be(right at the C2/C3 line in Outworld), and I know I have to beat her three times while she is invisible...but she's *never* there. Is there an alternate location you can fight her, and receive the key for her alt. costume?

I tried doing a search on the forums, and it("Tanya's alternate costume") brought up a huge no. posts, but none of them seemed to have any info on this. I've tried looking on Google even, but noone else has run into this. :(

Have you unlocked Tanya yet? After you unlock her, try entering and leaving Outworld and see if she then appears there. Let me know how that goes.
 
I have unlocked her, in fact, I've beaten the Konquest mode. :) Her Alt. Costume is the only thing left in the Krypt for me...

I've even tried meditating for days, just seeing if maybe she only shows up at certain times and such. :(

Have you spoken to Tanya for her side mission yet? I talked to her but never finished her side mission, when I found her for her alt costume. Try that.
 
Ah, ok. I can't remember if I did her side mission or not...I'll try to dig up some info on that(maybe use the TRMK Guide) and get back to you. :)

One other thing that I'm just now thinking of, I don't know that I ever trained with Tanya...so maybe that would have something to do with this as well...

I don't think you need to do that, I got her alt without having to beat Konquest first, I was still in Earthrealm I believe. I was 90% sure all you had to do was unlock Tanya to get her to show up in that spot. That's how I got her to show up. But also defeating Konquest first could screw that up.
 
I have heard that if you miss something like this, that often times there will be an alternate location for it. This was first broght to my attention when a buddy of mine missed some stuff in the initial village(that you can *never* go back to once you leave). He came across that stuff later on, out in various Realms. Makes me wonder if I am just screwed on getting her MK4 costume, or it's just in such a remote, unknown location that I'll never find it... :(

Okay make sure you did these three things:

1) Unlocked Tanya, not only got the key but unlocked her in the game.

2) If so, leave and reenter Outworld and check that area. She isn't hard to miss.

3) Do you see Tanya anywhere else in Outworld?
 
Yeah I'm having this exact same problem, her alt is the only one I haven't found. If you manage to find an Alt. location or anything let me know.
 
Thanks to the help of Donkey Kong, we may have figured this out. Sometimes you need to do her side mission first. Since it's not in the guide yet, I'll put it here. Find Tanya in A-7, she asks you to find a cave. You can find the cave in H-5 behind the Tarkatan Camp. Once you find it, return to Tanya and she'll reward you with 600 Ruby Koins.

Then go look for her walking around in C-2/3 and see if she is there now or not.
 
Just for the benefit of those who may need it, here's how it went for me:

I found Tanya, she told me to find a cave. I found a cave...that wasn't the Ice Cave that Frost is looking for...then I happened upon Lieu Kang, he said something to me, then gave me 500 koins. I went back to Tanya and she said "you've already been paid!". I left Outworld, came back. She was there at the C2/C3 mark. Only had to fight her once(instead of the three times everyone said), and it gave me the costume.

Odd stuff...but at least I got. :)
