Shang Tsung Can Copy Fatality?

There's some way of shang tsung stay morph in the opponent and use his fatality? will be nice , kill the enemy with his own fatality. =D
 
Who remembers doing Shang Tsung's morph into Sub-Zero and doing his deep freeze fatality starter, then turning into Scorpion and doing Toasty?

Priceless moment, truly priceless.

Well I can't find a video of it, but if wish to do it yourself:

Right before you are going to defeat your opponent, morph into Sub-Zero and give the finishing blow.

Then get to mid distance and press forward, forward, down, high kick for his deep freeze.
Keep doing this until you morph back into Shang Tsung.

Then morph into Scorpion and press down, down, up, up high punch for the Toasty finisher.
 
Yeah in MK2, you could morph into SubZero, freeze the poor victim then morph back again into any other character and do a finish him on a frozen body.

My favorite was Kung Lao's... I would freeze the guy, then morph into Kung then do the spin attack out of reach but right where you need to be for the fatality, people think that I pressed the wrong button or missed, then you press FFF LK... and cut him in half while he's frozen.

If you did Shang's soul absorb fatality (or Jax's head smash), it would break the color palette of the enemy.

MK9: I didn't notice if the game "unmorphs" you when it says Finish Him... I'll try it tonight and report back to see if I can finish someone with his/her own fatality.

Odd since the character data is already in memory, why not allow a Fatality if you're still morphed...

EDIT: just tested winning using the morph as the final attack, and you don't even morph. Sucks.

shang tsung has only one fatality ( i really miss the soul steal...and the joker fatality don't count for me)
i wish for a patch wich allow to use others character fatality...or a soul steal dlc...

Yup, same here. Until Fatality DLC comes along with Shang's Soul Steal (I hope), as far as I'm concerned Shang has only one fatality in this game. I dunno what it is...I just utterly hate the dancing clown fatality. What a waste, so out-of-character.

In response to overall thread, it really does suck that you can't utilize your opponent's fatality. That was always one of my favorite things to do in MK2...morph into the opponent and kill them with their own fatality.

This make will make Shang Tsung much more interesting to play... he is a good character with bad fatalities, the joker fatality should be a third one for him, Even his Secret one is meh...Copying Liu Kang lame fatality -_-/ i really wish a soul steal dlc and a patch for him able to copy fatality.

other thing will be nice is give to sonya a kiss of death fatality, can make with her tecnology : throw a purple kiss pollen and make him inflammable with some thing she do...whatever xD

Or uppercut it to the dead pool while being freezed.. Ahhhh! good memories. I'm gonna download MAME again.
 
I like the clown fatality too. I just thought it was a strange choice to include above his iconic soul steal.

While I don't think it's a BAD Fatality, I find it to be extremely out of place and a little cheesy considering we already saw The Joker do it. I feel it was just a cheap shot that preyed on the fact that Shang can transform into anyone whose soul he steals. Not to mention, it makes you think "Where did Shang find a clown with Tarkatan teeth?"

More on-topic: I like the Clown Fatality, it's an amusing poke at the only T-rated game in MK history. Earned a chuckle from me. I HATE his Secret Fatality. It's a rip-off of a bad Liu Kang Fatality. If it sucked the first time, it's not gonna have a better showing the second time out.
