New Saurian Evolution

I had a cool idea about the evolution of Reptile's Raptor race now that the MK universe is entirely altered in the new game.

What if they turned out to originally be actual Velociraptors found in a new world and experimented on by Shang Tsung, who disguises himself as a scientist in order to gain trust from the US government. Eventually they would breakout and set out into the wilderness in order to adapt. In a big event, they would find a way into a new realm, Zaterra, where they would adapt even more, but a Catalysis event happens and turns most of them into repulsive reptillian creatures, leaving some, who were not part of it, to survive.

I tried to make it more accurate, because of how their original evolution sounded, and how paleontologists found new evidence of dinosaurs having more of a close relationship with birds, I just thought the Saurians needed a better output.

I guess this forum isn't very popular, sorry. Uninteresting?

Sounds a bit too scifi in my opinion, but your trying and that's awesome . As for the Saurians we only got Reptile and Khameleon left, don't really think they will go into detail explaining anything more than what we already have.

Thanks for your awesome comment, Marco. And who knows about their detail? I might try to expand on their history... in a fanfic, probably. Don't really know how.

You should consider writing a Fan Fic on this, maybe try incorporating Chameleon and Khameleon and give a background on how Reptile ended up in his position serving Tsung after the destruction of his realm. Just some ideas, I've been known to write Fan Fics on occasion.

Thanks for your advice. I thought about adding Komodai, from the show Defenders of the Realm, to serve as a spy for Outworld as a way to save the Saurians from, what he believes, becoming extinct. Chameleon would probably have the same purpose, and be one of the Saurians that have a monstrous reptillian form. I was most intrigued about what to do for Khameleon. She would probably have a human form, due to Zaterran scientists finding a way to enhance their DNA and disguise themselves as humans. I thought about giving her a new costume, one that would fit in with other characters.

I also thought about having other genetically engineered dinosaurs besides raptors as Saurians, because you know, Saurian could mean an order-like term. I don't know. I need to think these things through.
