Mortal Kombat D20 RPG

This is for me and all of you to design the best Mortal Kombat RPG. Not only will it be fun, but for those of you who are dwelling on what will happen in the next game, you can decide for yourself with this game, for those of you who have a D20 game you will recognize this as a campaign setting, for those who don't might want to buy a D&D book or D20 Modern or even D20 future for the basic rules, for just the rules with no guff, you could also go here http://www.d20srd.org/ http://warcraftd20.myfreeforum.org/ftopic60.php
That second link is just for people who have the WoW d20 RPG and would want to join that forum, but it also has good links for people learing d20 too, by the way our forum is things that currently the lore of Burning Crusade is screwed up, too, I don't even play the MMO, just the d20 RPG.

Here is a proposal for the Shokan Monster Class (ala Savage Species Appendix)

sub-type: Shokan are native outsiders (see http://www.d20srd.org/srd/typesSubtypes.htm)

Starting Ability Score Adjustments: +2 Str, +2 Con. Shokans have great physical power and endurance.
Speed: Medium-size shokan land speed is 30 feet, Large-size shokan land speed is 40 feet.
Automatic Languages: Shokan
Bonus Languages: Celestial, Infernal
Favored Class: Shokan.

Class Skills
Shokan Class Skills are:
Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (any one, if male, any two if female), Read/Write, Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language, Survival (Wis), Swim (Str)

Skill Points at first level: (8 + Int modifier) x 4.
Skill Points at each additional hit dice: 8 + Int modifier.
note: each additional hit dice, not each additional level!

All of the following are class features of the Shokan monster class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Shokan are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, but not with armor or shields.
d20 Modern: Shokans begin play with Simple Weapons Proficiency and one of the following: Archaic Weapons Proficiency, Brawl, Combat Martial Arts, Light Armor Proficiency or Personal Firearms.

Feats: A shokan receives one feat at 1st level and an additional one at 4th level.

Cumulative Modifiers: A shokan becomes more powerful with time, gaining bonuses to its ability scores and natural armor. See the associated chart for the total bonus gained by a particular level.

+1 Ability: At 6th level the shokan increases one ability score of its choice by +1.

Whoa, that was a surprise, I thought I was just going to get ideas at first, but you made this whole thing. I like that a lot, but there is something in the WoW pen and paper RPG, that kinda makes it to wear you can have stronger races that are stronger, but still be balanced with the other races. It's not effective character levels, it's something called racial levels (3 in all), they don't have to take them, but they can if they want to. It is supposed to represent them getting more intune with their natural abilities through what ever is traditon to their race (learning from an eldar until finally passing a amnhood ritual, pilgramages, traditional stuff like that).

The Shokans would be something like this:

Let's say that they get +2 Strength, and -2 Charisma as their basic racial ability bonses.

They're racial levels will have good Base Attack Bonus (becuase they are pretty much Mr. or Mrs. Universe with two more arms), they would have good Fortitude Save (same reason), they would have good Reflex save (they're big but pretty agile), and a poor Will Save (they would probably be divine over arcane I'm assuming becuase thy probably have strong religious traditions, but they son't get a bonus becuase they have a better reflex and fortitude)

Here's they're levels

HD: 12

  1. +1 wisdom, Slam!
  2. +4 racial bonus on balance checks, Exotic weapon proficiency for either Shokan Blades, Tiger Claws, Dragon Blades (I think that is what Goro had)
  3. +2 agility, +1 natural armor, +4 on grapple checks

I'm not going to go into detail about these abilities, becuase I jukst made them up on the fly, just to show you how racial levels work. A racial level never goes above 3 levels. I like yours, but I think the racial levels help give more freedom to players. And to make things even, we can make racial levels for all races, even humans (but they will have things where they can choose stuff such as +1 in an ability score of your choice, becuase they are the jack of all trades race).
