Mortal Kombat 3DS?

Would you buy it? If not, why? And what do you think they would or could do with it?

They better make it. I bought the 3ds essentially just for fighting games. Bought Super Street Fighter 4 3d and Mortal Kombat Ultimate (though its for regular ds). Its awesome being able to play arcade perfect fighters on the go. I'd definitely buy it.
 
The 3DS is nothing more than a cheap gimmick IMO.. ive played one before and the 3D adds nothing to the game at all. Would I buy MK 3DS? Yes because it would be Mortal Kombat on the go but I would want to see MK Arcade Kollection on 3DS before MK9

A cheap gimmick that cost roughly 500$ per system to make. They're not mass producing at $25 a piece. I thought the 3D was a really cool feature.
 
lol ill just wait for the psp2 to come out because there will probably be an mk game on there. and i dont have money for a 3ds x)

Im sure its not as cheap as $100 but there is no way it could be as expensive as $500 cause if thats the case the price would be higher than $250... nintendo would LOSE $250 on every system sold if thats the case

im sure we are both wrong lol

I don't see the 3D as a gimmick, more of another feature on a great handheld. Tilt motion, touch-screen, 3D, Joystick, D-Pad, Nintendo Network (or whatever), great system power (Street Fighter 4 looks amazing), and many other things. Plus it already has established fighters on it or coming out for it!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for E3 announcement!

I just searched this and the Epic claims it doesn't work, but they are going by specs not testing. The NGP supposedly can, wonder what they think is limiting the 3DS.

They say and I quote, "If we felt like the 3DS could run Unreal 3 and deliver the kind of experience people license our technology to build we'd be on the 3DS."

Key word being, "felt." Not, "If it could."

But anyway I guess this thread can be /locked ;(

I heard that they lost Money on the hardware. Then some idiot told me the system costs 500$ to make

It is $100 in raw parts. That doesn't include LABOR, shipping costs, etc. Plus, Nintendo has to make income for further research and development. But I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't making that much profit in sales of hardware. Sony wasn't making profit off PS3 until relatively recently with the new Slim model. Most of the profits they make is with game sales.
 
They need to work in dlcs and patches before making a game in a so inferior console. IMO, dont get angry 3DS owners, but you cannot compare the quality of PS3 and 360 with 3DS, even if i had the 3DS, yes i would buy it but i'd prefer more content for my ps3 version than that.
