<b>TRMK's</b> favorite <a href="http://xbox.ign.com">IGN</a> staffer, Douglass C. Perry, is first out of the gates with his <a href="http://xbox.ign.com/articles/651/651520p1.html">review</a> of <a href="/games/mksm">Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks</a> (<strong>Xbox</strong>, <strong>PS2</strong>). Luckily, Doug actually leaves his attitude in check and has some very intelligent things to say about the game.
The co-op game, however, is fun because you have to work as a team and talk to each other, creating a social experience very much like being in the arcades. Despite some rigidities and technical weaknesses, Shaolin Monks creates an atmosphere of camaraderie. One last set of moves I almost forgot to mention but proves the teamwork point to a Tee are the team attacks, which require you and friend to pair up for two-player attacks. It's a great idea that works well, and makes the co-op just that much more valuable.
We're actually floored that Mr. C. Perry actually took an objective look at <strong>Shaolin Monks</strong> and put away his bias for this review. Could it be possible that the almighty <B>TRMK</b> had some influence in C-Diddy's writing style? If you asked Doug himself he probably would deny that he even knew who we are. Regardless, <b>IGN</b> scores <strong>Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks</strong> a respectable <b>8.0</b>.

Nobody noticed what he wrote also:
Plus, just because Midway is so good to you, there is an unlockable demo of The Suffering: Ties That Bind, and an unlockable, full-featured version of Mortal Kombat II in there for the taking.

A demo of The Suffering and the full version of MK2?????
Can't this be true?

YES, YES OH GOD YES! Another good reason to buy it.

*Ahem* it would make sense to some new people to the series anyway.

The Suffering 2 demo was already to play, it was never locked. Mk2 was locked until you complete the smoke missions. Besides, the suffering 2 demo was out in last months XBOX and PS2 mag. In any case, this game was good.
