you can check out the various FAQs on this and other sites for a more detailed response, but what you do is simply this.
Keep an eye on him for when he's going to do a special attack, dodge as much as possible to avoid anything he may even try. And dont let up on the attacks, unless you miss per chance, then back off to get a grip on the situation again. When you do, get back in there and dont stop till he's dead.
And it helps a a great deal to break (by walking into them) the several kamidogu around the edge of the arena. It makes him more vunerable and at the moment you break it, he is incapacitated for a moment, giving you chance for a free attack.

Onaga, like Moloch, can be easily defeated with combos. Constantly dodge him by holding down the up or down buttons to side step, and keep using combos on him. Also when you break the Kamidogu, it hurts him more for that brief second that he's in pain.

Yeah for the most part I would have to agree that the DK is not all that tough as a final boss, sure he usually takes a few tries, but just combo the hell out of him and circle around to all of the Kamidogo if you are having trouble. After he is stunned you can land like five or six combos on him before he will block.
While I am on the subject though I would like to add that while MKD is a great game, with a lot of improvement over other MK titles it seems like they had a tough time wrapping this one up. I mean the DK is like the Goro style sub boss, I don't know. To me it just seems like there is not enough of a challenge factor to beat the arcade. It just is not as satisfying. Sure Moloch could be a pushover, but occasionally he would open up on you. The good thing was that after him, you had to fight both Shang Tsung and then Quan Chi, I think it gave the game a bit more finality and presented more of a challenge then MKD did. Mabey this should be in another thread, but all in all the DK is too easy and I think that there should have been a super boss or two after him to give the arcade mode a bit more of a push. Mabey like a super pissed off Dark Raiden would have been kinda cool and tied in better to MK7.

I find the king to be a bafoon compared to moloch, just keep at short range, dodge, and combo, that's what always works for me.
