Fake Friendship Fatalities

This is actually my first post on this forum, though I read it pretty much every day. I'm kind of anti social.

Anyway, I just had to get this idea out. I had this idea for a fake friendship/fatality. It would go something like this:

Sub Zero: It's time to finish his opponent. From behind his back He pulls out a cute little Sub Zero doll from behind his back and hands it to his opponent, who looks somewhat relieved. Then the old 'Friendship' voice over is heard. All of a sudden the doll starts to freeze, causing the opponent to turn to ice. Then, once the opponent is frozen, frostbitten, and gangrene, the doll explodes, causing a mass of mangled frozen body parts to scatter across the screen. Sub Zero wins FATALITY.

Scorpion could have a similar fatality with a scorpion doll, except the scorpion doll causes his foe to burst in to flames and explode.

I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on this. I just thought it would be a nice alternative to the Friendship. Especially if there was a way to execute it 2 different ways, whereas, you could enter one Fatality Input and Sub Zero would hand them the doll and it would be a traditional friendship, but, if you entered a different Fatality Input, Sub Zero would hand them the doll and the doll would explode. This way, it would keep your opponent guessing.
 
Lol reminds me of a conversation me and a mate had years ago. Baraka give the player a present and a spike shoots out and stabs them through the head. :D
 
very cool, but rather than the two versions with different inputs, i think the friendships need a whole new revamp anyway and your idea of them working as a more humorous fatality is a great way to re-introduce friendships in a new way, so they still end up killing your opponent but in a funny way you dont expect coming :)

im well up for that new doll frendship idea above its a good idea, but i think the opponent should pull a string on the doll first to activate it

also if this way was the new way frendships work you could still unlock traditional friendships and the retro ones in the game, or DLC
 
HA, I was actually thinking about this sort of stuff the other day. Yeah I actually have a few ideas for this sort of stuff...

Remember Sindel's friendship from MK3 when she kicks the soccer ball? Maybe the soccer ball makes it all the way to where Johnny Cage and an unimpressed female are out on a date (they are at a five-star restaurant near the window). While Johnny of course is indulging in himself the soccer ball suddenly crashes through the window and decapitates Johnny Cage (due to all the speed the soccer ball caught during its travel through the air). The camera then switches back to Sindel and the defeated opponent, and Sindel declares "That was fun!" (the old soundbyte from MK3) right before the inevitable (SINDEL WINS! FRIENDSHIP... FATALITY?).
 
I would really like this idea. You can either do a Friendship, or add a fatality ending to it. Nice.
