360 exclusive hinted on Ed Boon's Twitter

Just thought I'd let you guys know that Ed Boon pretty much confirmed Gears of war having to do something with Mortal Kombat 2011. This is what he tweeted after clearing up an issue he was having with his followers complaining about exclusive fatalities in the Gamestop/Amazon/BB exclusive DLCs. He said that EVERYONE will have at least 2 fatalities and then went on to say this:
"However, that doesn't mean we aren't going to disable the X button for everyone except 7-11 customers! Think about it...."
He's refers to 7-11 customers and says think about it. Hmmm. The only thing that comes to mind when I see 7-11 and video games is Gears of War. Remember when 7-11 released Gears of War 2 before its street date. "Think about it."

Just... no. I don't want to be mean, but no. That's not what he implied. *I* didn't even recall that 7-Eleven broke the Gears date, and I'm a big-time Gears fan. He said 7-Eleven because they do not sell videogames. If he said "You can't use X unless you buy it at Gamestop," everyone would have freaked and acted as if he was not joking... which is exactly what happened anyway.

He might as well have said "Krispy Kreme" and you guys would go "Remember the Krispy Kreme debacle where they accidentally leaked that Halo Wars was coming out?" ;)

That said, we might see a Gears character... but this was not a reference to that, I promise you. Mere coincidence in an obvious joke meant to defuse the situation, but drew conspiracy theorists out of the woodwork.

I hope Liu Kang gradually and grotesquely morphs into the dragon instead of emerging out of a mystical mist. I'm thinking Hulk-like, but much scarier!

Probably you're seeing the hint through the wrong angle. I think this tweet means the preorder content will eventually become available for all the customers.
 
I think by 7-11 he means a particular shop. I imagine he means that exclusive game content will be released later as DLC, which is good.
 
gears of war 2? hmm... how about little big planet character? or dora character? we can have Boots do some x - ray moves......
THIS IS BULLSHIT! i dont wanna see any gears of ****ing war character in my MORTAL KOMBAT! how can i play a fighting game with a character from a shooting game?!

i'm against having an outside franchise character in this game, but you do have a point there. at least the gears characters have the brutal part to them.
